Office Building – Exeter

Undertaking works in an occupied office building in Exeter demanded co-ordinated planning, creative engineering, and problem solving.

Pre-planning consultation with our client and building users resulted in good communication and an ability to overcome any potential difficulties. The needs of building users were identified and accommodated wherever possible, such as drawing up a timetable of works and planning peak times of sensitivity to reduce noise or disturbance.

Restrictive access and limited head height to drill and dig in an under-croft parking area meant that Terra Firma (South) provided practical and affordable solutions to our client. Using a cut down rotary rig we were able to drill safely and avoid delays or problems during site works. Exposure of foundation pads was enabled with a specially modified excavator.
